Ingredients

Lamb Patties

500g Quality Mark lamb mince

100g feta cheese

broken into chunks

1 egg

1 Tbsp lemon juice

1 garlic clove

crushed and chopped

a handful fresh coriander

sliced finely

1 red onion

finely chopped

1 Tbsp Culley's Liquid Smoke

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 Tbsp brown sugar

4-6 white bread rolls

Method

To Cook Patties

To Assemble

To prepare the patties, add the finely sliced red onion, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar together in a pan.

Cook over a medium heat, stirring frequently until the onions are soft, fragrant and caramelised – approximately 10 minutes – then set aside to cool.

Combine all the burger patty ingredients, including the caramelised onions, in a mixing bowl and mix well with hands until all the ingredients have binded together.

Roll into balls roughly 100g in weight then press down flat with the palm of your hand to make a nice patty shape.

Heat skillet or BBQ grill to medium high heat.

Place patties on grill and cook for roughly 4-5 minutes per side.
