Definitely don’t need the tomato paste for an authentic stroganoff. Add brandy or white wine for a thinner sauce

Delicious meal for the whole family.
Easy to follow and simple.
Thank you!

Yum, although i saved the sour cream till serving. Works really well if you add an 1/8 teaspoon of cocoa, it enhances the meaty flavor.

This was awful and I have no idea why it said put in tomato paste? Are you for real or just have never had actual beef stroganoff?

This was bad I recommend dont use tomato paste

Quick & easy. Would probably add less tomato paste next time as it's quite dominating. I also added a slug of brandy to the steak. Thumbs up from all.

Hi Steph,

No paprika is not used in this recipe, it is a popular recipe of ours, however if you wanted to add 1/2-1 teaspoon of paprika that would work fine. Happy cooking :)

No paprika in this recipe?

I agree with Stephen - the original recipe is my go-to, panicked a bit when the original URL linked to this new recipe.

Thanks for retaining the slow-cooked version as well, B+LNZ. It makes perfect beef strog every time.

Love this recipe! Can halve the meat & other ingredients for 2 serves. I also added a slosh of white wine to it.
Very nice!
