It’s day 3 into World Iron Awareness Week and it’s been a whirlwind so far. Our marketing manager, Ashley Gray and I have been out around Auckland in the Iron Wagon spreading the word on all things iron. Monday was catching up with top foodies, including Lauraine Jacobs, Julie Buiso, Helen Jackson as well as talking with Danny Watson on the NewsTalkZB health and wellness segment. We also managed to visit the Iron Throne at Aotea Square to further endorse the campaign message, and had a thunder clap go out on social media with a reach of close to 100,000 across the globe.
We visited Iron Maiden, Sophie Pascoe at the swimming nationals yesterday where she broke the world record in the 100m butterfly – what a fantastic ambassador for the power of iron in a healthy diet. We also caught up with Rawdon and Ali on Breakfast TV with Iron Maiden, Sarah Walker highlighting the importance of iron-rich foods.
It’s not over yet – to catch up on all the activity, follow #WorldIronWeek on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
