We tapped into the New Zealand meat industry to scout for the young talent, which came by way of homemade videos of the industry's children and grandkids - a first ever for us.
Going through the 'nominees' footage was a bunch of fun and it was tricky to narrow it down.
On the day of filming, we had 18 children aged between 3-8 years tell us all about their hopes and dreams of what they saw themselves being when they grew up. It was unscripted so we were capturing 'raw footage', so to speak.
As the mum of two of our tiny talents, I sat nervously in the green room (the adjoining classroom) as we utilised a school setting), with my fingers crossed hoping they wouldn't turn mute.
With an enthusiastic producer, we managed to have the kids, including my boys, talking up a storm, capturing some golden moments.
To see it come to fruition, I feel very proud of Grayson, 4 years (the mouth slider), and Jacob, 6 years (the aspiring builder), and proud to be a part of our organisation who see health and nutrition as a cornerstone of our quality products, beef and lamb.
They say never to work with children when it comes to making TV, but we had a fabulous experience and would do it again in a heartbeat.
