Our talented graphic designer, Brooke, is responsible for the look and feel of the magazine (and one of the lucky taste-testers), and is also a fabulous cook. We were both inspired by the latest mEAT mag which has been designed with social gatherings in mind. All of us at Beef + Lamb NZ agree entertaining doesn’t have to be restricted to the summer months!
With this in mind, I finished work last night and drove straight over to help Brooke recreate her famous mango chicken curry using tender beef instead. To enhance the ‘beefy’ flavour we added ground coriander, ground cumin and tamarind paste. We were very impressed with the result and thought the flavours worked perfectly together.
We devoured the curry alongside a tower of poppadum’s with a roaring fire in the background. I don’t think there’s a better way to unwind after a hectic day in the office!

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that in our office, we’re all pretty passionate about food and home cooking. We produce our mEAT Magazine three times a year and are all involved at some stage throughout the process – those who get to taste the recipes have the best job!
